Peter - 7 String Guitar, Classical Guitar, Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar, Ukulele
Peter graduated from the University of Toledo in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts, and in 2020, he earned a Master of Music in Jazz Studies from Bowling Green State University. He has been teaching since 2004 and joined the Forté faculty in 2012. Prior to joining the Forté Music School, he gained experience by teaching at Full Score Music (2004-2013), and the Sylvania Music Academy (2009-2011).
Peter started playing for professional engagements at the age of 15, and continues to perform extensively as a soloist and accompanist in Toledo area. He is proficient in multiple genres - from Classical guitar and Lute repertoire to Jazz, Blues, Country, Rock and Pop styles, as well as Experimental and Atonal Improvisation techniques. Peter is an avid musicologist - he does research in various fields, such as the history of the development of guitar performance techniques and guitar making, historically accurate interpretations of Baroque music, or even study of non-western music, such as folk music of Greece, Turkey, and Russia. He also plays a Mediterranean instrument called the Oud.
Currently, Peter is completing his master's degree in guitar performance at Bowling Green State University.
