Nolan - Piano
Nolan has been taking piano lessons since 5th grade, one year before starting at Toledo School for the Arts where his main focus was classical piano until graduation.
While in high school he was part of TSA's steel band, Glass City Steel, which frequently performed both locally and out of state. He was also a member of their jazz outreach band, the Urban Jazz Collective, for four years which catalyzed his love for jazz piano.
Throughout the years, before college, he had the opportunity to take part in many masterclasses, OMEA Solo & Ensemble competitions, Monday Musicale recitals, and other TSA and the University of Toledo sponsored events as well as recitals for his private instructor, Vivienne Sommerfield.
Following the events above, Nolan was honored to receive a scholarship from the University of Toledo. He is currently studying with Dr. Michael Boyd and Scott Gwinnell through the University of Toledo.
