Kurt - Piano

Kurt was born in Sylvania, and raised in Perrysburg. He began playing piano at age four and has developed a stronger love for music as he got older.
He has always been active in the music scene around the area. Kurt has played at Heartland of Perrysburg, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, and the Manor House during “Holidays at the Manor House”. As a lifelong passion for studies in organ music, he has also performed for two masses at St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg, OH. He participated in recitals for the American Guild of Organists (AGO) and was awarded scholarships in 2016 and 2017. Recently, he has developed an interest in Disney themes and has started composing his own music. Some of his favorite composers are James Horner, Hans Zimmer, and Howard Shore.
In addition to proficient piano and organ skills, Kurt also sings bass in the chorus for the Toledo Opera. He performed in La Bohème, Carmen, Macbeth, Il Trovatore, Cavalleria Rusticana, Suor Angelica, Celebrazione Del Coro and sang with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra in Mahler’s Resurrection (2019).
Kurt is currently a senior at Bowling Green State University. Kurt loves mastering his piano, organ, and singing skills. In addition to his passion for music, he likes everything about Legos and Halloween.
Kurt is excited to join Forte’s talented team as he has always wanted to share his love of music. He looks forward to exploring the exciting world of music together!
Fun Fact: In 2016, he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and in 2017 he became one of only 2,700 scouts (after it was retired in 2020) to be awarded the William T. Hornaday Award for organizing a project to remove invasive species along 4,000 lineal feet in Oak Openings.
