Katherine - Violin

Katherine is a dedicated violinist currently pursuing her Bachelor of Music with a concentration in Violin Performance at the University of Toledo. A native of Toledo, Katherine began her musical journey in 2016 and developed her passion for the violin through lessons at Forté Music School under the guidance of Bogdan Berindean. She also received orchestral instruction from Megan Fitzpatrick and Yang Kun Song. Her commitment to excellence is reflected in her consistent superior ratings at OMEA Solo and Ensemble competitions, as well as her participation in the OMEA Honors Orchestra.
Katherine started her college career at Tiffin University, where she quickly made a name for herself as a classical music curator. She became the founding director and member of TU’s first string ensemble, "No Strings Attached." Beyond performing, Katherine found great joy in teaching and helping her fellow musicians grow through each rehearsal and performance.
Now back in her hometown, Katherine is excited to continue her passion for teaching as a violin instructor at Forté Music School. Outside of music, Katherine enjoys competitive swimming, playing Minecraft, and spending time with her family watching TV shows.
