Katherine - Piano, Tuba & Trumpet
Katherine graduated from VanderCook College of Music, in Chicago, with a Bachelor in Music Education in 2018. Her primary instrument is tuba but she enjoys teaching many different instruments including piano, trumpet, and guitar.
She has had the opportunity to perform in many ensembles including: symphonic band, jazz band, marching band, orchestra, and choir during her studies at VCM. After graduation, she taught as a band director for Music Education Services and a general music teacher/choir director at Flossmoor District #161. She has also been a guest clinician for the VanderCook College of Music BandFest, Music Education Solo and Ensemble Fest, and Nathan Hale Middle School solo and ensembles contests.
Katherine enjoys listening to live music and playing when possible. She believes that everyone can learn to perform, and that music helps us communicate in a universal language. Katherine is very excited to inspire students through music!
