Gracie - Violin, Viola
Gracie is an undergraduate student at Bowling Green State University and is working towards her Bachelor of Music in violin performance. She is currently studying under the tutelage of Dr. Penny Thompson-Kruse (Professor of Violin at Bowling Green State University). Prior to that, she studied with Florin Simioanca (Adjunct Instructor of Music at Ohio Northern University). She also studied at the Interlochen Summer Arts Camp Violin Intensive in June 2021. Gracie has performed with various ensembles, most recently the BGSU Philharmonia, the Ohio Northern University Symphony (as concertmaster), and the OMEA All-State Orchestra.
Gracie began taking violin lessons at the age of four and has been passionate about music ever since. In high school, she participated in orchestra, band, and choir. At BGSU, she is a member of the Music Education Musicianship and Advancing Pedagogy (MAP) program. She has taught violin and viola for the past year. Gracie strives to inspire her students through music and demonstrate the value of music education to students of all ages.
