Alex - Guitar, Piano, Violin & Viola, Voice

Alex holds an undergraduate degree in music education from Bowling Green State University, studying violin with Caroline Chin and voice with Lance Ashmore. During his time in Bowling Green, he served as a mentor for the Detroit Youth Symphony Orchestras, and as publicity chair for the Ohio Collegiate Music Education Association student chapter. Alex taught 6-12th grade orchestra at Upper Arlington High School where he assisted and conducted orchestral performances. While living in Columbus, he sang professionally in the First Congregational Church Choir, leading the bass-baritone section for services and evensongs. The chorus served a week-long residency in the United Kingdom, where he performed at the Chichester and Winchester cathedrals. Alex has frequently performed on violin, voice, piano and trumpet throughout Ohio, in Boston and Chicago.
A string specialist, he currently teaches chamber music, guitar and orchestra at the Toledo School for the Arts, and previously taught violin, viola and general music in Bowling Green, Ohio.
