Trevor - Violin
Trevor began studying violin at the age of four at the encouragement of his parents, and what started as an early childhood activity has since grown into a lifelong passion. Over the years, he has studied with Nancy Davis, Carmen Martin, Estelle Dobbins, and Caroline Chin, each of whom helped shape his musical development and appreciation for the art of violin playing.
Trevor is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music Education degree at Bowling Green State University. With a background rooted in the “old school” tradition of violin playing, he hopes to carry that spirit forward by maintaining a high standard of musicianship while inspiring his students to work hard, grow confidently, and find joy in their musical journey.
He has participated in several competitions, including the Toledo Young Artist’s Solo Competition, the Sylvania CO’s Young Artist Competition, and the BGSU CMA Concerto Competition. Most recently, he was awarded 2nd place in the Spring 2026 Douglas Wayland Chamber Competition.
Trevor currently performs with the Stringato Quartet, plays for weddings with string quartets formed with friends, and regularly performs with the Perrysburg Symphony Orchestra. One of his favorite pieces to perform is Méditation from Thaïs, a work he recently had the opportunity to perform again with his friend and pianist Lorenzo Dos Santos. To Trevor, the piece beautifully showcases the sincerity and lyricism of the violin.
For Trevor, music comes from the heart in a way few other things can. He pursues music professionally because he loves it, because it offers fulfillment and community, and because he hopes to share its beauty and joy with future generations. Outside of music, Trevor enjoys reading the Bible, spending time with family, hiking and walking, cycling, relaxing at home, listening to stories, and improvising on the piano.
