Tetyana - Piano
Tetyana is a dedicated piano educator and accompanist with more than 25 years of experience teaching children, youth, and university students. Passionate about developing both technical excellence and musical expression, she has guided students of all ages in building confidence, artistry, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
Originally trained in Ukraine, Tetyana studied piano at the Children’s and Youth Music School No. 1 in Cherkassy and graduated with honors from Cherkassy State Music College with a Diploma in Music Performance and Pedagogy. She later expanded her academic studies at the State University named after T.H. Shevchenko, earning a degree in Romano-Germanic Languages and Literature.
From 2004 to 2024, she served as a Piano Instructor at the Faculty of Musical Education at Homs University in Syria, where she taught piano performance, mentored future music educators, and contributed to university music programs. In addition to her university teaching, she maintained a successful private piano studio for over two decades, providing individualized instruction to children and teenagers ages 6–18. Her lessons emphasize strong technique, sight-reading, music theory, expressive playing, and joyful musical discovery.
As an experienced accompanist, Tetyana has collaborated with vocalists, instrumentalists, and student ensembles in performances, examinations, and recitals. She is known for her patient, encouraging teaching style and her ability to inspire students to reach their full musical potential. Having recently relocated to the United States, Tetyana is excited to continue sharing her passion for music education and helping young musicians grow in confidence, creativity, and artistry.
Fun fact: Tetyana can teach piano not only in English, but also in Arabic, Russian, and Ukrainian.
