Amy - Flute

Amy began her interest in music at a very young age, teaching herself piano at age 4. She began lessons at age 10, and began flute in middle school. Continuing into college at Ohio Northern University, she participated in the ONU marching band on flute and piccolo, as well as the Symphony and Wind Orchestra. She also was a member of the ONU flute choir, and woodwind choir. Amy was in the leadership roles of the music fraternity Delta Omicron. At college, she explored many different instruments, including the saxophone, organ, violin, and baroque recorder. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts concentrating on Flute Applied Studies and Music Theory/Composition.
After her undergrad, Amy graduated from Music for Healing and Transition Program, and became a Certified Music Practitioner. During her time in maternity leave with her son, she picked up the harp. She works 5 days a week in the hospital setting, providing live, therapeutic music for patients and staff. In addition to private lessons and therapeutic music, Amy also plays weddings and events, and teaches online for MHTP.
